Do I really need to take a multivitamin everyday?

I used to take vitamins, but now that I have stopped I really don't see or feel a difference.

I think there are a lot of different things that should be considered. How well do you eat/how much do you really know about the subject? What kind of multivitamin are you planning to take? (There are huge differences in the bioavailability of the vitamins on the market.) Also, don't forget about multi-minerals.
People usually begin taking something when they get sick. How do we know if preventative care is helping? First of all, you won't notice a difference unless you're really depleted on a certain vitamin or mineral. But also note that our life expectancy is increasing, and it must be due (in part) to our increased understanding of what's needed. I believe,
the chances are, you'd benefit!
