I have ridges in my fingernails - what does that mean? Just in the last 6 months, I have developed vertical ridges in my fingernails ... Im not sure what is causing them - I've heard it could be vitamin deficiencies? Does anyone know about this?

I have had this and was told that it is the result of stress and then the lack of vitamins. Additionally they want to check for psoriatic arthritis. This is because of random swelling in the joints of my fingers, elbow, knees and feet. So far I do not have a cure or prevention. Hopefully more to follow.
