The National Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) is the Federal Government’s main agency for scientific research on the broad health care and medical systems, and products that are not altogether acknowledged as part of conventional medicine.


The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of the benefits of aromatherapy.  NAHA is actively associated with promoting and elevating academic standards in aromatherapy practices and education for the profession.  NAHA also actively participates in furthering the public knowledge and perception of true aromatherapy and its safe and effective practice in everyday life.

The purpose of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture is to advocate the combination of concepts from modern and traditional forms of acupuncture with Western medical education and thereby synthesize a more complete approach to health care. 


The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) represents over 57,000 massage therapists.  The association strives to establish massage therapy as necessary to the continuance of good health and complimentary to other processes that are therapeutic.
