On behalf of CharlotteDrs.com and Vizhun Marketing we would like to thank everyone who participated in the American Red Cross Blood Drive held on Thursday September 3rd in the Ayrsley Town Center located just off 485 at exit 1. CharlotteDrs.com successfully met the goal of 25 donations. The blood from each donation will go to help numerous people in the greater North and South Carolina areas. According to the American Red Cross staff, most companies get less than 10% of their employees to volunteer and/or are eligible to donate. CharlotteDrs.com and Vizhun Marketing only represent a few full time employees. For the Town of Ayrsley to step up the way they did and to accomplish a full day of scheduled donations speaks volumes.
Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. Less than 3 in 100 people currently donate blood and yet the need is great, the need is constant and the gratification of giving is instant.
CharlotteDrs.com salutes the donors of this drive and all drives. Please give.
A special thanks goes to Melissa of the
American Red Cross for helping us to organize this drive, Lori the Registration Volunteer, and the Lead Nurse Becki and her team of professionals on the bus. Giving blood helped to make a difference. A couple of the donors from Arysley kept this even more fun and competitive. They turned their donation into a competition to see who could donate their blood the fastest and which of the two had the most iron in their blood. The winner of the two coworkers finished in seven (7) minutes. Unfortunately, the loser had to buy lunch that day! Thanks to Rick Lawrence and his team from Arysley Town Management and allowing us to use the office space for registration.
Town of Ayrsley you really stepped up, volunteered and made a difference.
