Dr. Kortesis is a well-trained and experienced plastic surgeon with a background specializing in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He completed his training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center led by the world-renowned Wake Forest University faculty. His time at Wake Forest allowed him to become skilled in a wide range of procedures, using the latest in technique and technology. His training includes over 5,000 surgical cases, as well as experience in the management of a full time cosmetic surgery clinic. This training has allowed him to refine the latest techniques in face, breast, and body cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Kortesis is dedicated to humanitarian efforts including work with organizations such as the Evrytanian Association of America and Partners of the Americas. Recently, Dr. Kortesis traveled to Bolivia with a distinguished medical team. There, they successfully completed close to 100 procedures treating pediatric patients with severe burn injuries.
In addition to his training, Dr. Kortesis has authored and presented several scientific papers throughout his career covering all facets of plastic surgery. He believes in continued research efforts that will allow him to be on the cutting edge of plastic surgery advances.
