Dr. Evivie is a board certified internist and a Fellow in the nation’s largest specialty organization, The American College of Physicians. Patrick Evivie, MD, FACP, was born in Nigeria, is a graduate of University of Benin, Benin-city, Nigeria. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Evivie is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RVPI), certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Dr. Evivie is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where as a volunteer faculty member he has been involved in training future doctors on the art of medicine during their rotations at PrimeCare Medical Center. University of North Carolina Chapel Hill inducted him into the Eugene S.Mayer Community service Honor Society in 2001.
Dr. Evivie’s expertise has been utilized in a number of research studies as a participant and an investigator. He was also responsible for setting up the Diabetes Resource Center at PrimeCare Medical Center currently being run in collaboration with Presbyterian Hospital.
The American Diabetes Association and the National committee for Quality Assurance recognized Dr. Evivie for delivery of Quality diabetic care. The America Heart Association, American Stroke Association and the National committee for Quality Assurance also recognized him, for delivery of quality cardiovascular and/or stroke care.
